Gentari commissions 150 MW solar plant in Maharashtra

New Delhi, Jun 23 (PTI) Clean energy solutions company Gentari on Monday said it has commissioned a 150 MW open-access solar plant in Wardha, Maharashtra.

The project, among the largest of its kind in the state for commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers, is expected to generate 248 million units (kWh) of green electricity annually, a statement said.

The plant will enable industries across the state to tap into cleaner sources of energy, potentially cutting over 238,576 tonne of CO₂ emissions each year.

With this commissioning, Gentari’s total capacity for the C&I sector in Maharashtra now exceeds 225 MW.

"Maharashtra’s commercial and industrial consumers have been showing strong momentum in the shift to clean energy. This project supports that transition by providing reliable solar power at scale, unlocking both environmental and operational value," said Sharad Pungalia, Country Head, India, Gentari.

The project forms part of Gentari’s broader clean energy portfolio in India and Asia Pacific, where it is advancing integrated solutions across solar, green hydrogen, and green mobility to accelerate the global energy transition. PTI KKS ANU ANU
