Gold futures tumble Rs 940 to Rs 96,150/10 g

New Delhi, May 8 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday plummeted Rs 940 to Rs 96,150 per 10 grams in futures trade amid muted spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for June delivery traded lower by Rs 940 or 0.97 per cent at Rs 96,150 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 15,078 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.

In the international markets, gold futures fell 0.65 per cent to USD 3,342.76 per ounce in New York. PTI DR SHW
