71% Indians lives affected because of Inflation: Survey

The rising inflation in the country has been impacting the lives of the common people. The Trade Desk conducted a survey showing how inflation in India has increased the cost of living and put pressure on people and their everyday lives.

According to the survey, 71 percent of adults in India are feeling the impact of the rising cost of living and nearly half (48 percent) have switched to less expensive brands or stores to ease the pressure on their household budgets.

Since Covid it is witnessed Indians are making less purchases than before, while one in three are putting discretionary purchases on hold. Furthermore, nearly one in two Indians now prefer to buy items on sale or in bulk.

Despite the rising inflation, Indians are optimistic for their future, as only 28 percent believe that inflation will maintain its current level, while 41 percent believe that it will ease off by next year.  And half of the respondents also believe that wages will grow between 2022 and 2023.
