New Delhi, Feb 26 (PTI) Consumer electronics brand Acerpure, a part of Taiwan's Acer Group, is looking to take learnings from its success in India to the other emerging markets like Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia as it looks to expand globally, a senior company official said on Thursday.

Acerpure, which officially made its foray into the India air conditioning market after test marketing last year, will be looking for export opportunities from the country in future, Acerpure Inc, Regional Sales Manager, Consumer Business, Pan Asia Pacific, Leonard CC Yang told PTI here.

"We are embracing every opportunity (in India). Currently, yes, all of the ODMs (original design manufactures) or factories here are focusing on to fulfill the domestic demand first but someday, somehow, I believe that their ambitions will be large or good enough to have all of the products to be exported. This is part of our mission as well," he said when asked about exports from India.

Acerpure, which is present in categories like TVs, air purifiers and fans, besides ACs in India, engages third party manufactures for its products.

Yang said in 2026 the company is looking for a bigger expansion, not only in India but also in Taiwan, where it has also introduced its ACs.

"We wanted to double the sales in India this year," he added.

The company has set a target of selling 1 lakh units of ACs in India this year, Acer India Chief Business Officer Sudhir Goel said.

Reiterating the company's commitment to India, Yang said, "We want to double, even triple the investment in India to ensure that many of the products will be launched for the India market," he added.

Yang further said, "Then the next step, we will duplicate the success as well as the winning patterns in India to the other emerging market sessions, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia in the next step." When asked about the planned investment, he declined to share the specifics.

"When we talk about investment, the ultimate goal is what are the returns on investments. The ultimate goal that Acerpure wants to bring in will be the welfare and satisfaction of Indian people while using Acerpure," he said.

Yang further said the investment it's not purely about the money the company is putting in. It's about the technology base it has and bringing new features onto its future products "to make sure that everyone who's using Acerpure feels like 'this is really something made for us in India." "That's why we emphasize a lot the products which are made in India," Yang noted.

Acerpure on Thursday launched seven new split inverter ACs with prices starting at Rs 29,990.

Goel said the company is looking to tap Tier II and III cities in India with the new products as the potential is higher with lower penetration for ACs. PTI RKL DR DR
