IKEA, the world’s leading Swedish home furnishings retailer is continuing with its omnichannel expansion. On June 29 IKEA'S CEO announced the location of its second small-format city store in India.

The new IKEA store will be India’s first in-mall store and is slated to open in Mumbai’s famous R CITY Mall at Ghatkopar.
Spread across 72000 sq ft of retail space, the store wilL open to the public in the coming months.
The new store will offer customers a range of 7000+ well-designed, affordable, sustainable, and functional products. And the customers will be able to place orders from 5000+ products that will be delivered to them, and they will also be able to buy 2000 products directly from the stores.
Alongside the wide array of shopping options the new store will have a connected IKEA’s restaurant with 130 seating capacity offering a wide range of Indian and Swedish delicacies including Vada Pao, Dhokla, Biryani, Dal Makhani with Rice among many others.
IKEA started its journey in Maharashtra in 2019 with the launch of our e-commerce platforms, followed by the launch of its big format store in Navi Mumbai in 2020 and opening of the first city store in Worli in 2021.
