Designer Rahul Mishra to open India Couture Week 2025

New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) Ace designer Rahul Mishra will open the 18th edition of India Couture Week (HICW) 2025, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced on Wednesday.

The prestigious fashion gala is presented by Hyundai India in association with Reliance Brands and will be held from July 23 to July 30 at the Taj Palace hotel, Delhi.

"Known for his intricate craftsmanship and deeply artistic narratives, Mishra will set the tone for the 18th edition with a showcase that reflects his signature design language—where emotion, elegance, and exceptional handwork come together on the runway," FDCI said in a statement.

Mishra, who has previously showcased at major international platforms including Paris Haute Couture Week, said the collection is “especially personal”.

"Every time we showcase in India, it fills us with immense pride to present our work on home soil, where the roots of our craft run deepest. Opening Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 with FDCI is an honour, and this collection feels especially personal.

"It explores the idea of love not just as a feeling, but as a transformation and a journey of becoming. Through every ensemble, we attempt to express that quiet surrender, where craft, emotion, and soul dissolve into one," the designer said.

FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi hailed Mishra as a "true global ambassador of Indian couture".

"His thoughtful design language continues to push boundaries while staying rooted in craft. I am proud of his successful journey and look forward to his show," he added.

The India Couture Week 2025 will bring together some of the most celebrated names in Indian fashion and will feature collections that spotlight heritage, innovation, and contemporary narratives in couture design. PTI RB RB RB
