When asked about the re-release of the trailer with edits, the actor carefully dodged the question by saying “ it's a creative decision, only makers can answer this question.” The film trailer was pulled down from the internet after the backlash only to be re-released with edits. The re-released trailer had to do away with the 1947 reference and PM's lockdown announcement.

Rao was accompanied by his talented co-actor Ashutosh Rana who answered why the film was made in black and white.

He said, “ tragedies are never colourful, there are either black or white, and COVID was the biggest disaster of all times which confined us to our homes."

The press conference was addressed by the main lead of the film - Rajkummar Rao and Ashutosh Rana, while the director Anubhav Sinha and the producer Bhushan Kumar, who has recently withdrawn his name from the film gave the event a miss. It was assumed that they deliberately stayed away from the controversies surrounding the film.

When asked does the film also touch upon the issues of religious discrimination Ashutosh Rana replied “ a disaster has no face, it does not differentiate based on caste, colour, religion, Hindu, Muslim, upper class or any caste, colour or creed? When a disaster takes over human abilities then we become a part of BHEED (crowd).”

The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 24th March and also stars Dia Mirza, Bhumi Pednekar, and Pankaj Kapoor.
