Taylor Kitsch to star in survival thriller 'Eleven Days'

Los Angeles, Jul 12 (PTI) Hollywood actor Taylor Kitsch, best known for his roles in projects such as "Friday Night Lights" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", is set to headline “Eleven Days”.

Described as an independent survival thriller,it is set in Texas during the summer of 1974. The upcoming film is directed by Peter Landesman of "Concussion" fame. It is written by Kevin Sheridan.

According to the entertainment news outlet Variety, the film is an adaptation of "Eleven Days In Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege at Huntsville, Texas" from William T Harper. The production of the film will begin in Texas in September.

The plot revolves around the head of the Texas Department of Corrections Jim Estelle (Kitsch), who plays a deadly game against a convicted heroin dealer, who has taken numerous individuals hostage within a nearby prison following a meticulously orchestrated escape that has gone wrong.

"Lines between captor and captive, justice and survival, begin to blur as the siege spirals for 11 endless, terrifying days," reads the official logline.

The film is produced by Vincent Newman and Vance Howard.

Kitsch will next appear in "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf", a prequel to the "The Terminal List". The series is set to release on Prime Video on August 27. PTI ATR ATR ATR
