Peshawar, Nov 10 (PTI) Security forces killed at least 20 Taliban militants in two separate engagements in Pakistan's troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bordering Afghanistan, the army said on Monday.
During an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Shawal in North Waziristan, eight terrorists were "sent to hell" by the security forces on November 8-9, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military's media wing.
In another intelligence-based operation in Dara Adam Khel District, 12 terrorists were killed after “an intense fire exchange”, it added.
It said that sanitisation operations were being conducted in the area to eliminate remaining terrorists.
It added that under Operation Azm-i-Istehkam, the security forces and law enforcement agencies "will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country”. PTI AYZ ZH ZH
