Blast inside Herat Mosque; prominent religious leader Mawlawi Mujeeb Ansari killed

New Delhi: In an explosion inside Guzargah Mosque in Herat, a prominent scholar and member of IEA Mawlawi Mujeeb Ansari, who is also Imam of the Mosque, has died.

Ansari was one of the very prominent religious Taliban associated leader.

Afghanistan's Tolo News quoting local sources confirmed the death of Ansari.

Local sources said a blast occurred in Guzargah mosque in Herat province and Mawlawi Mujeeb Rahman Ansari, the imam of the mosque, was killed. There have been no official statements yet. pic.twitter.com/yNKQqjlIFq
