Peshawar, Jun 19 (PTI) Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Thursday criticised the ongoing legal cases against his PTI party leadership, including founding chairman Imran Khan, saying they were politically motivated and a waste of time.
“Cases are being filed against our leadership, our founding chairman, and our workers. Our time is being consumed in these baseless cases. Pakistan's system will only be corrected when this political victimisation ends,” the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader told the media after his appearance in court here.
On international matters, the chief minister condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Iran and Palestine.
“We do not recognise Israel and strongly condemn its aggression,” the PTI leader said.
In response to a question on US President Donald Trump hosting Field Marshal Asim Munir for a dinner, Gandapur said he was unaware of any such development.
“I will comment once the details are clear," the chief minister said.
Several leaders of the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's PTI are in prison on various charges.
