New Delhi: Terror struck Surrey’s Indian community late Wednesday when Kapil Sharma’s brand-new restaurant, Kap’s Cafe, was sprayed with bullets in a shocking act of violence.
The chilling footage, filmed by the attackers themselves, shows gunfire riddling the café’s facade. The assault, carried out in the dead of night, has been brazenly claimed by a banned Khalistani extremist group, Babbar Khalsa International.
Police quickly cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. The Indian High Commission in Ottawa condemned the attack, calling for swift action and security for the community.
Authorities have described the incident as a deliberate and targeted act of terrorism. Surrey Police have appealed for public assistance and urged anyone with information to come forward by contacting 604-599-0502.
