Nepal appoints Chandra Kuber Khapung as new police chief

Kathmandu, Aug 29 (PTI) Nepal on Friday appointed Chandra Kuber Khapung as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting.

Khapung, 55, is currently serving as chief of the Central Investigation Bureau. He had joined the Nepal Police three decades ago.

Khapung will assume office on September 3. He will replace IGP Deepak Thapa. PTI SBP ZH ZH
