Shimla, Dec 13 (PTI) As many as 18 Nepalese were injured after a tempo traveller overturned on a national highway, police here said on Saturday.
The accident occurred in Kingal, around 89 kilometres away from Shimla. Locals who witnessed it informed the police, who then rushed to rescue the victims.
According to police, the driver of the tempo lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, and all passengers were injured.
All the injured were rushed to a Community Health Centre (CHC), Kumarsain. Nine of them were seriously injured and were referred to the Mahatma Gandhi Medical Service Complex, Khaneri, for further treatment.
A case under sections 281 (rash and negligent driving) and 125A (endangering life and personal safety of others) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered. Further investigation is underway. PTI COR HIG HIG
