New Delhi, Oct 2 (PTI) An 18-year-old labourer was stabbed to death allegedly by two persons in north-east Delhi's Bhagirathi Vihar on Thursday, police said.
On receiving information about the stabbing at 4.54 pm, a team from the Gokalpuri police station was rushed to Bhagirathi Vihar, where it found that the injured youth had been shifted to the GTB Hospital by his brother where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased, who worked at a scrap godown, was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by two assailants who are on the run, police said.
"A case under sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (joint liability) of the BNS and provisions of the Arms Act has been registered at the Gokalpuri police station. Multiple teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused," a senior police officer said.
A forensic team has examined the crime scene and collected evidence, while CCTV camera footage from the vicinity are being scanned to ascertain the sequence of events, the officer said. PTI SSJ ARI
