2-year-old boy drowns in water pit in UP's Ballia

Ballia (UP), Nov 14 (PTI) A two-year-old boy died after falling into a water-filled pit while playing outside his home here, police said on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday in Chand Diar village under Bairia police station limits in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district.

The child has been identified as Yuvraj Kumar Bind.

Circle Officer Mohammad Faheem Qureshi said the police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem examination. PTI COR CDN SMV ARB
