Ranchi: Four people were arrested in Ranchi for allegedly murdering a man following a dispute over repayment of Rs 2.5 lakh, police said on Saturday.
The arrests were made from Chhapar Barvatoli in the Burmu police station area on Friday.
Ibrar Ansari alias Piyush, who was in his late 30s, was allegedly killed as he was demanding the repayment of Rs 2.5 lakh that he had lent to Sameer Ansari about six months ago.
While Sammer allegedly shot him dead, the other three accused helped him, SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar said.
"All four have confessed to their crime. They had abandoned the victim's body near the Saraidah Karamboha railway bridge," he said.
Two pistols, which were used in the murder, have been recovered along with nine cartridges, five mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
