Krishnaganj, Nov 30 (PTI) Four illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were arrested near the international border in West Bengal's Nadia district, police said on Saturday.
They were arrested on Friday night following a tip-off that some illegal immigrants had taken shelter in a house in Dharampur Birpara near Tungi, a police officer said.
They had illegally crossed over to India and did not have valid passports, he said.
They were identified as Sumi Akhter, Eamon Biswas, Shankar Biswas and Roop Kumar Biswas. They belong to Baladanga, Dhawakhali and Chakulia areas in the neighbouring country, police said. PTI SUS CORR SOM
