AAP, BJP councillors rain blows on each other in MCD House

New Delhi: Ruckus broke out at Delhi Civic Centre once again as AAP and BJP Councillors jostled, manhandled and rained blows on each other, news agency ANI said in a tweet containing video showing shameful scenes inside the MCD House. 

This is the third day of commotions in the House.

AAP Councillor, Ashok Kumar Maanu who collapsed at Delhi Civic Centre minutes back, appeared before media with other Councillors of his party. 

In another video tweeted by ANI, the councillors said, "They are so shameless that they attacked even women and the Mayor. BJP goons did this."

Counting of votes was underway in the municipal House after polling to elect six members of the MCD standing committee closed with 242 of the 250 councillors exercising their franchise on Friday.

The panel is the highest decision-making body of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
