Abetment of suicide case against woman after husband jumps into creek

Thane, Dec 16 (PTI) A case has been registered against a 31-year-old woman at Narpoli police station in Bhiwandi area for allegedly abetting the suicide of her husband.

Mohiddin Mohammad Salim Ansari (30) died after jumping into a creek on December 4, said an official.

A First Information Report was registered on Monday under section 108 (Abetment of suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after his mother complained that verbal abuse and financial demands by her daughter-in-law drove him to take the extreme step.

No arrest has been made in the case. PTI COR KRK
