Lucknow, Jul 14 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday greeted Shiva devotees on the first Monday of Shravan month.
Shravan or Savan is considered a sacred month in the Hindu calendar. The month is dedicated to Lord Shiva with devotees offering special prayers and fasting on Mondays.
In a post on X in Hindi, Adityanath said, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all Shiva devotees on the first Monday of Shravan month! It is a prayer to Devadhidev Mahadev that he does welfare of the entire world, removes everyone's troubles and spreads happiness, peace and prosperity on the Earth." Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also extended greetings to people on the occasion.
In a post on X in Hindi, he said, "Heartiest greetings to all the devotees and residents of the state on the auspicious occasion of the first Monday of the month of Shravan! May the entire world prosper with the blessings of Lord Bholenath, this is my prayer. Har Har Mahadev!" UP BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary hoped that the festival brings happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone's life.
