Admissions to govt schools for 2025-26 Cycle-II to begin from June 20

New Delhi, Jun 14 (PTI) The Directorate of Education of Delhi has announced the schedule for the second cycle of online admissions for classes Nursery to XII in government and government-aided special schools for this academic session, beginning from June 20.

According to a circular issued on Thursday, the online registration process will be open from June 20, 5 pm to July 5, 5 pm and the registration form will be available on the department's website.

The circular further added that parents are advised to check class-wise vacancies before applying.

It also stated that students already enrolled in government or aided schools should consult their school for re-admission or transfer through the online application.

The circular stated that after registration, parents must submit the required documents for verification at the concerned government or aided special school from July 7 to July 10, during school hours.

In case the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of available seats, a draw of lots will be held at the school level on July 11 at 11 am, the circular stated.

It added that the draw will be conducted in the presence of the school management and parents.

Following the draw, heads of special schools will submit the final list of selected applicants to the Inclusive Education Branch (IEB) by July 14. This list will be uploaded on the department's website on July 16, it added.

The admission process will conclude by July 18 for selected students, while those on the waiting list may be considered for admission from July 19 to July 21, if vacancies remain, the circular added. PTI SHB HIG HIG
