New Delhi: In a second incident of emergency landing of Indian commercial aircraft at Karachi airport within 2 weeks, IndiGo’s flight 6E-1406, operating from Sharjah to Hyderabad was diverted to Karachi due to technical snag.
When the pilot observed a technical defect mid air, he followed necessary procedures and precautionary landed at Karachi airport.
All the passengers are safe.
“An additional flight is being sent to Karachi to fly the passengers to Hyderabad," the airline said in a release.
On July 5, SpiceJet’s Delhi-Dubai flight was diverted to Karachi as the fuel indicator started malfunctioning.
The Boeing 737 Max aircraft that was heading from Delhi to Dubai started showing unusual fuel quantity reduction from its left tank when it was mid-air. Therefore, the plane was diverted to Karachi.
