Amit Shah congratulates four nominated to RS

New Delhi, Jul 13 (PTI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday congratulated four eminent persons who were nominated to Rajya Sabha and said their vast knowledge, experience and prowess will further enrich the national discourse in the Parliament.

Former foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, special public prosecutor in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks case Ujjwal Nikam, Kerala BJP leader C Sadanandan Master and Delhi-based historian Meenakshi Jain have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha.

"Heartiest congratulations to distinguished historian Dr Meenakshi Jain Ji, former diplomat Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla Ji, social worker Shri C Sadanandan Master Ji, and senior advocate Shri Ujjwal Nikam Ji on being nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Hon'ble President," Shah wrote on 'X'.

Through their exemplary contributions in their chosen fields, the distinguished persons have enhanced the honour of the nation, the home minister said.

"I firmly believe that the endowment of your vast knowledge, experience, and prowess will further enrich our national discourse in the Parliament and accelerate India's journey towards greatness," he said.

In a notification issued late Saturday night, the Union Home Ministry said the President has nominated the four to the Rajya Sabha. PTI ACB SKY SKY
