The ISRO’s GSLV rocket carrying navigation satellite NVS-01 lifts off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, in Sriharikota
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday congratulated ISRO scientists for successfully launching the NVS-01 satellite aboard the GSLV-F12 and managing to place it into a geosynchronous transfer orbit.
ISRO scientists launched the satellite from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in the Tirupati district of the state.
"NVS-01, the first of the second-generation satellites launched by ISRO, will ensure the continuity of navigational services and…the successful mission has added another feather in the cap of ISRO," said the Governor in a press note shared by Raj Bhavan on Monday.
The Chief Minister too congratulated the ISRO team for successfully launching the next-generation satellite, propelling India’s navigation capabilities.
He also wished ISRO success in its future endeavours.
