Dehradun: Anup Malik assumed charge here on Tuesday as Uttarakhand's new Head of Forest Force.

Malik is a 1987-batch Indian Forest Service officer. He succeeds Vinod Kumar Singhal, who retired as Head of Forest Force on April 30.

The order deploying Malik as Uttarakhand's new Head of Forest Force was issued on Monday.
