Motihari: A man carrying a replica of Ayodhya’s Ram temple caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday while he was addressing a rally in East Champaran district of Bihar.

The PM promptly asked the Special Protection Group, entrusted with his security, to collect the specimen, assuring the bystander who had brought it to the venue that his effort would be duly acknowledged.

“Young man, have you brought it for me?” said Modi, barely a couple of minutes into his speech.

“I request the SPG to collect this gift. And I assure you, young man, that you will receive a letter from me,” the prime minister said.

“It is a matter of great delight that I had a darshan of the Ram temple in the land which happens to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita,” Modi said.
