Banned gutka worth Rs 33 lakh seized in Thane district; two held

Thane, Jul 7 (PTI) Police in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Sunday arrested two persons after seizing banned gutka valued at over Rs 33 lakh, an official said.

The Bhiwandi police made the seizure from a tempo in the Nizampura area, he said.

Police are trying to find out the source of the consignment and to whom it was to be delivered. PTI COR NR
