Panaji, Jul 15 (PTI) The ruling BJP and its alliance partners held a meeting on Tuesday to review preparedness ahead of the upcoming monsoon session of the Goa legislative assembly.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said all alliance partners, except the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, participated in the meeting.
The MGP legislature party leader, MLA Sudin Dhavalikar, had already informed about his absence, he said.
BJP Goa President Damodar Naik, ministers and MLAs from the ruling party and allies, including Independent MLAs Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Anton Vas, and Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, attended the meeting.
Sawant said bills and resolutions to be presented in the upcoming session were reviewed during the meeting.
He said members discussed about issues that would be raised in the assembly.
The 15-day monsoon session of the Goa assembly will begin on July 21. PTI RPS ARU
