BMC elections: Symbols allotted to 1,700 candidates

Mumbai, Jan 3 (PTI) A total of 1,700 candidates who are in the fray for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were allotted symbols on Saturday, officials said.

Independent contestants got free symbols ranging from hand cart to auto-rickshaw, coconut and whistle, while party nominees received their respective party symbols.

The final list of contesting candidates with allotted symbols was also published. Voting will take place on January 15. PTI KK KRK
