Body of teacher recovered from river in Himachal

Nahan (HP), Sep 12 (PTI) The body of a 35-year-old teacher, who was swept away in the Giri river in Sirmaur district, was recovered after a 22-hour search, officials said on Friday.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and local divers recovered the body on Thursday evening.

The deceased teacher Roop Lal was swept away when he was trying to cross the flooded Giri river near Chandni village on Wednesday evening.
