Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 3 (PTI) A building belonging to a local civic body and housing several shops collapsed in Kannad town of Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district on Thursday, police said.
No casualty was reported, a police official said.
A row of shops constructed several years back in the building, belonging to the Kannad Nagar Parishad, gave way as the structure collapsed at around 3 pm, the official said.
Kannad town is located 60 km from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city.
"The building was old. There were shops in a row which collapsed. Fortunately, there was no loss of life," an official from Kannad city police station told PTI.
Work was on to remove the debris, another official said. PTI AW GK
