City Commissioner denies police threatened pvt firm manager

Chennai, Jul 12 (PTI) Chennai Police Commissioner A Arun on Saturday denied that the police threatened a manager of a private company who allegedly died by suicide in Madhavaram on July 9.

The manager identified as Naveen took the extreme step in a hut in Puzhal here. He was reportedly accused of swindling money.

His hands were found tied loosely and the case appeared to a be suicide based on scientific evidence but investigation was underway, Arun said.

"Its a classic case of suicide - the way he tied the knot... the police have not summoned him for enquiry nor have they threatened him," the Commissioner told reporters here. PTI JSP KH
