Dawoodi Bohra leader meets CM

Chennai, Jul 11 (PTI) Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd leader of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community, met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday at his residence here.

According to a release, Ashara Mubaraka, the annual Moharram congregation led by Syedna from here was held in different cities across the globe from June 27 to July 5.

"During the meeting, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Greater Chennai Corporation, Chennai Police, and other public service departments for their unwavering support in ensuring the comfort, safety and convenience of the thousands of attendees. He also prayed for the growth and prosperity of Tamil Nadu and people of Chennai," it said.

Stalin acknowledged the Dawoodi Bohra community's contributions to trade, enterprise and social development. PTI SA ROH
