Delhi BJP pays tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary

New Delhi, Jun 23 (PTI) The Delhi BJP paid tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary on Monday.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan were among those who paid floral tributes at Mookerjee's portrait at an event held at S P Mookerjee Park here.

Pradhan said Mookerjee was not just a leader and thinker, but a thought which is alive even today.

"In 1953, Syama Prasad ji had entered Kashmir by protesting that there cannot be two systems in the country... Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it possible with the abrogation of Article 370," he said. PTI SLB DIV DIV
