Demolition drive underway in Delhi's Wazirpur area

New Delhi, Jun 24 (PTI) A demolition drive is underway in northwest Delhi's Wazirpur area on Tuesday amid heavy police deployment, an official said.

"We have deployed more than 100 police personnel to ensure that there is no breach of law and order," a senior police officer said.

AAP's Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj slammed BJP-led Delhi government over the demolition drive.

In a post on X he said, "Once again today, several bulldozers of the BJP government are demolishing the homes of the poor. The BJP government, which gave the slogan 'Where there are slums, there will be houses," should now answer — where are their houses?" PTI SSJ SLB SSJ SKY SKY
