EAM Jaishankar visits Chola-era temple in TN

Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu), Dec 30 (PTI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the Chola-era Airavatesvara temple in Kumbakonam in this district and offered prayers on Tuesday.

He was accompanied by his wife Kyoko to the temple dedicated to Lord Siva at Darasuram in the district.

The Minister was provided temple honours upon his arrival.

This 12th century shrine, known for its exquisite Chola architecture, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. PTI JSP JSP SA
