Residents come out of their houses as earthquake tremors hit Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas
New Delhi: An earthquake of 3.7 magnitude jolted Haryana's Jhajjar district, the second one of the week, and tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 7:49 pm at a depth of 10 kilometres. The coordinates shared by NCS placed the epicentre at 28.68°N latitude and 76.72°E longitude.
On Thursday, too, an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the same district in Haryana, sending tremors across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and surrounding areas.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Delhi falls under Seismic Zone IV, as classified by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, a high damage risk zone that remains vulnerable to moderate to strong earthquakes.
