Tanishka Kabra, won a silver medal in International Chemistry Olympiad 2022

Hyderabad: Tanishka Kabra, has made the nation proud by outshining in the prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad 2022 by securing a silver medal for her stupendous performance. The students have been selected by HBCSE to represent India in International Chemistry Olympiad 2022 respectively.

Tanishka was a student of Aakash+BYJU’S, the national leader in test preparatory services.

Based on her performance in Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Chemistry (IOQC) Part II Tanishka Kabra was selected by HBCSE to represent India in International Chemistry Olypiad 2022, organized by China and which was held from July 10th to 18th, 2022 via online mode.

The examination was organized by the Association of Teachers in Biological Sciences in association with the Indian Association of Physics Teachers and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE).

Every year over 30,000 students of 12th Standard or below, sit for this examination.

IOQC exam is intended for students of 12th standard, though 11th standard students are also allowed to appear for the examination. There is a designated statewise quota according to which the students are selected for the next stage.

Students scoring greater than 80% of the average of the top ten scores at the national level (called as Merit Index Score) get automatically selected irrespective of the statewide quota.

The top 1% of students from this examination are selected to sit for the Indian National Chemistry Olympiad.
