Fire at manufacturing unit in Kolkata's Kakurgachi

Kolkata, Dec 18 (PTI) A major fire broke out at a hosiery manufacturing unit in Kolkata's Kankurgachi area in the early hours of Thursday, officials said.

Fifteen firefighting vehicles were deployed to douse the blaze, which was reported at 2.44 am, they said.

The fire has been completely doused, and there were no reports of any casualties, they added.

An investigation has been started to ascertain the cause of the fire, officials said. PTI dc SOM
