Fire breaks out at CESC transformer in Kolkata

Kolkata, Nov 9 (PTI) A fire broke out at a CESC transformer in Kolkata’s Chandni Chowk area on Sunday morning, officials said.

Four fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze that erupted at the 100kVA transformer around 7.35 am, they said.

The fire was brought under control after about an hour.

No injuries have been reported so far, the officials added.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. PTI BSM RBT
