Fire breaks out at company in Ambernath MIDC

Thane: A major fire broke out at a company in Ambernath in the district on Wednesday evening, police said.

The blaze started at the company situated at Kharvai village in a Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area at around 8 pm, said a police official.

While local residents heard blasts, the fire-fighting operation was underway and there were no reports of anyone getting injured, he said.

It was a huge fire, said local corporator Ramesh Surse.
