Fire in illegal godown of chemical drums; no injuries

Palghar, Nov 30 (PTI) A fire broke out in an illegal godown of chemical drums along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Haloli village of Palghar district on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

Nobody was injured, District Disaster Management officer Vivekanand Kadam told PTI, adding that the fire was confined to an open space.

The blaze erupted at 4:30 PM and was doused after 45 minutes, he said, adding that cooling operations are underway. PTI COR NSK
