Jaipur, Jul 9 (PTI) Heavy rainfall is expected once again in parts of Rajasthan from Thursday, the Meteorological Department said here.
In the 24 hours till Wednesday morning, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in the state and heavy rain occurred at one or two places in western Rajasthan. The highest rainfall of 98 mm was recorded in Hanumangarh.
"There is a strong possibility of an increase in heavy rain activities in eastern Rajasthan from July 10 and in western Rajasthan from July 12," a Met Department spokesperson said.
Light to moderate rains with thunderstorms are likely at some places in Bharatpur, Kota, Jaipur and Bikaner divisions till Thursday and heavy rains are likely at one or two places in Bharatpur division.
On July 11, there may be heavy rain at some places in Kota, Bharatpur division and heavy and very heavy rains may occur at some places in Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions on July 12-13.
The weather in the Jodhpur division of western Rajasthan is likely to remain mainly dry for the next 3-4 days and light to moderate rains may occur at some places in the Bikaner division. From July 12, rain activities will increase in western Rajasthan as well. PTI AG RT
