Gopeshwar: Heavy overnight rain in Chamoli district triggered landslides blocking the Badrinath National Highway at several points on Saturday.

Debris falling from the hills following the landslides has blocked the highway in Kameda, Nandprayag and Chhinka, the district disaster management office here said.

Efforts are underway to clear the route, it said.
