History-sheeter found dead in north Kerala

Malappuram: A murder accused was found dead in front of a shop in a town in this north Kerala district on Monday morning, police said.

They said Adam (43) was found dead in front of the shop inside the bus stand in Tirur with a serious head injury.

Adam is accused in around 10 criminal cases, including a murder case in 2018.

He was out on bail, police said.

"He was a habitual offender. There are nearly 10 cases against him. He usually sleeps in front of some shops in the bus stand. There's a serious injury to the head, but the reason for death can be ascertained only after the post mortem," a senior police official told PTI.

The official said Adam has a history of quarrelling with people often.

"This may be an incident following a quarrel. We are also looking into the possibility of previous enmity," the official said.
