Mendhar: An Army jawan was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday, officials said.
The incident took place in the Tain Mankote forward area of Mendhar tehsil when the jawan reportedly stepped on a mine during routine patrolling, triggering the explosion, they said.
The jawan, who is said to be an Agniveer, was administered first aid at a nearby Army post and later airlifted to Udhampur for specialised treatment.
