New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad launched his new party 'Democratic Azad Party' and also unveils the flag addressing a press conference, in Jammu.

Azad who parted his way from the Indian National Congress the previous month citing leadership issues, floats his own regional party in a press conference held in Jammu.

Unveiling the flag of his new 'Democratic Azad Party' Azad said, "Mustard colour indicates creativity & unity in diversity, white indicates peace & blue indicates freedom, open space, imagination & limits from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky."

Azad, 73, ended his five-decade-long association with the Congress on August 26, terming the party "comprehensively destroyed". He also lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for "demolishing" the party's entire consultative mechanism.
