Jharsuguda SP, Brajarajnagar SDPO transferred after Odisha min’s killing

Bhubaneswar, Jan 31 (PTI) The Odisha government on Tuesday transferred Jharsuguda superintendent of police and Brajrajnagar sub-divisional police officer after the killing of health minister Naba Kishore Das.

Jharsuguda SP Rahul Jain was transferred and posted as the SP, Headquarters, a notification issued by the home department said.

He was replaced by Bargarh SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas.

Brajrajnagar SDPO Gupetswar Bhoi was transferred to Police Headquarters, Cuttack and Athamallick SDPO Chandramani Pradhan was posted in his place.

The notification said Boudh SP Prahalad Sahai Meena was transferred as the new SP of Bargarh and Rayagada Additional SP Raj Prasad was posted in his place.

The minister died after being shot at by Assistant Sub Inspector Gopal Das in Brajarajnagar area of Jharsuguda on Sunday. PTI AAM ACD ACD
