J'khand Guv gives assent to MSME (Special Exemption) Bill, 2025

Ranchi, Nov 4 (PTI) Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar has given his assent to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (Special Exemption) Bill, 2025, which aims at promoting industrial growth in the state, a Raj Bhavan release said on Tuesday.

The bill was passed by the Jharkhand Assembly during the monsoon session on August 26.

"The Governor has granted today his assent to the MSME (Special Exemption) Bill, 2025, which was passed by the Jharkhand legislative assembly," the release said.

The objective of this bill is to promote industrial development in the state through MSMEs and to boost investment, it stated.

"Under this bill, exemptions have been provided from various permissions and inspections required for the establishment and operation of industries, which will make the process of setting up new enterprises simpler and more convenient," the release said.

Besides, all facilities related to licenses and permissions will be made available on a single platform through the 'Single Window System'.

This bill is an initiative to accelerate the MSME sector in the state, promote the development of small businesses, and attract investment, it added. PTI SAN SAN RG
